This course focuses on teaching managers and supervisors how to use their knowledge about at will employment to improve their people management and communication skills. Participants gain a deeper understanding of at will employment and its relationship to decisions about hiring, promotion, performance management, discipline, and termination. Participants also learn about wrongful termination and how to minimize the risk of wrongful termination claims. Working through case scenarios, participants learn issue spotting, problem solving skills and how to manage teams more effectively and consistently with at will employment, all the while learning how to improve communications with their teams.
