Using real-life case scenarios and interactive exercises, participants learn the principles behind the harassment laws, the types of conduct that could be considered unlawful harassment, the skills they need to help maintain a harassment free environment and how to engage in sound decision making while following best practices.

Particular attention is paid to understanding managerial obligations, when and how to respond to possible unlawful harassment, modeling professional conduct in the workplace, and setting expectations for acceptable behavior from others. Participants are also taught to distinguish between "harassment" and "unlawful harassment" and their need to address inappropriate conduct in any context.

This course can be customized to cover:

    • Your company’s specific harassment policies and a policy receipt and acknowledgment form for your training records
    • Unlawful discrimination generally, as a way to provide a broader overview of the relationship between discrimination and harassment
    • Unlawful sexual harassment based on training requirements in California, Connecticut and/or Maine
