This course educates employees about sexual and sex-based harassment in the workplace from the perspective of what an employee should know. The focus is on understanding appropriate and inappropriate conduct and the resources available to employees if they believe they are being sexually harassed. The course also covers your company’s policies, how to find them and use them, and the conduct expectations that are inherent in those policies.  Participants learn about your company’s commitment to preventing and eliminating sexual and sex-based harassment and how to model behavior and use their communication skills to support that commitment.  Participants also learn about retaliation and methods to address it.

The goals of the course are to:

  • help employees understand what unlawful sexual harassment is and how to avoid it
  • give employees tools for addressing possible unlawful sexual harassment and retaliation themselves and by using the internal resources you provide
  • reinforce your company’s commitment to providing an environment free from unlawful harassment
  •  articulate conduct standards and encourage every employee to model professional behavior
  • encourage employees to come forward if they believe they have information about unlawful sexual harassment at work
